faceman
Sultans of Swing - the bass very much drives the song along and it's easy to spice up a little too!

Huw Foster
I've had to learn All I Want For Christmas for my function band... Really fun to play, basically all about the feel. ALMOST makes me like the song. ALMOST. (I just learned it on ukulele... IT'S EVEN MORE FUN!!)
simon1964
From my covers band, I'd nominate: She Sells Sanctuary Ever Fallen in Love Gimme all you Lovin Monster Anarchy in the UK All dead easy (the bass parts at least!) but all great songs
krispn
Just Kissed My Baby - The Meters Its got groove, its got a very simple line and things build up nice with each instrument coming in bit by bit . Also it gets a little interesting in the chorus and you get to throw some shapes when hitting them notes. Damn I feel like dancing now awwwwwwwwwwwwoh! Yeah! Uh Uh! HuH! WonderHorse
Bodyrockers - I like the way you move No Doubt - Hella Good Anything by Reverand and the Makers Biffy Clyro - A whole child ago The Clash - Police and Thieves (This was the song that inspired me to learn bass) Infact any song by The Clash

Also "Rock the casbah" and "London Calling" are great and easy to play
Not quite stupidly easy but Donny Hathaway's Little ghetto boy is the one I get the most pleasure from.
Erm, I take it this isn't the live version with Willie Weeks you're playing to? If you're trying to imitate some of his fills on there, I wouldn't say it's easy at all! Edited December 22, 2009 by Huge Hands
harvey1-8
Biffy Clyro - A whole child ago
That's one of my favorites to play as well. Let's Get It started by Black Eyed Peas - Sounds more complicated then it is. I like playing New Millenium Homes by Rage quite a lot as well. thunderbird13
The intro to Fight Fire with Fire by Metallica - not as hard as it sounds and always seems to get a "whats that" response from guitarists ( which is as close to a compliment your going to get from them )

solo4652
Free Me - Joss Stone. Infectious bass riff drives the song nicely. Easy to play, even for me.
gicut58
Not quite so stupidly easy maybe is Purple's 'Burn' - Not only do I love it every time I play it but a hell of a lot of the pleasure is having musicians around me that can not only cope with it but are having just as much fun playing it as I am gicut58
PaulWarning
I thought this thread was stupidly easy tunes to play, no names but I get the impression some people nominate quiet difficult songs to try and make themselves look good, or perhaps I'm just a crap bass player

gicut58
not the case, but point taken if meant that way. Stupidly easy and a pleasure would be AC/DCs Rosie
Paul S
Two that my band do are 'Rocks Off', Primal Scream, and 'Riot in Cell Block' a la Dr Feelgood. Love them to bits.
