NJE Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) Hello all, Reluctant sale here but Christmas has caused me financial issues so selling off a few items. I have an amazing Squier Standard Strat with maple neck in candy apple dark red. Now this could sound like I am trying to big up a basically cheap guitar but this standard strat is not like the rest I have played for some reason. A few months back I went to my local guitar shop with a view to picking up a mexican strat or tele or see if something else caught my eye. I have played guitar along side bass for about 10 years but never seriously so have a reasonably good eye for instruments even if my guitar skills are lacking. I saw this hanging on the rack and loved the colour and flared headstock so gave it a go. It really felt good to play and was unlike any Squier in the shop or any other I have played. The neck is a really lovely piece of maple (single piece with skunk stripe) and the fretwork and finish was just not the Squier I had experience of. So I played a few more guitars and this really was the best guitar I played (in my range) and I was willing to go to about £250-300. These are £189 on GAK and I paid a bit more locally so as it is about 7 months old I thought £100 or feel free to make me an offer. It would be a great guitar for starter or intermediate and does the Strat thing as well as my best friends American Fender anyday. It will come with a gig bag, the locking Dimarzio clip strap currently on it and I wil throw in a guitar stand as well. I will ship if someone is interested and can probably get it sent out pretty sharpish. Anyway Pictures, they are not great as the light is so bad but I can get more if anyone is interested.
