The Twickerman Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hi all, just wanted to share with you all what a fantastic fuzz this really is. Supposedly a clone of the Shin-ei Duo-Fuzz (aka the Shaftesbury Duo-Fuzz). I haven't compared it yet (I don't have a PP3 to hand!), but it's immense. Sounds like an inferno. Instant Hugh Hopper circa Soft Machine Volume Two. That's all! Phew! Got it off my chest. - Nick. Quote
redzombie Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I think I vaguely remember Justin Meldal-Johnson mentioning these over on talkbass. Basically, If I remember right, he said something along the lines of them being pretty outrageous and great for getting those good old Jesus & Mary Chain fuzz tones. He did also include however, that an EQ pedal would probably be required after one to replace the bass suck caused by the Super Fuzz. Quote
