Mr. Foxen
I know 6 ohms is close enough to 8 to be happy, but since its actually 5.3 or so, is the 4 ohm tap more appropriate?
obbm
I know 6 ohms is close enough to 8 to be happy, but since its actually 5.3 or so, is the 4 ohm tap more appropriate?
I asked this very question of Orangeback in March. Mr Elmsley's reply was:
Use the 4 ohm. Its not ideal though! Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device
demanufacture
I think that is better to use 5.3ohm cab on 4 ohm output than use 6 ohm cab on 8 ohm output. A lot of speaker so also a lot of cabs (i think its about 90%) have a litte lower impedance that what producer said. Also the impedance has a variable value (for example for 50Hz it can be 5x higher than nominal impedance of cab) and impedance value which we have on specification of cab is a minimal value above its resonance frequency (of course this value is +/-). Example: PS welcome! Its my first post on Basschat Sorry for my english but I cant speak it very good
