jsixties
I know I will miss this one a lot but someone will be truly happy with that deal: My gorgeous 2008 US Lakland 5 Strings 55-94 Deluxe. If you are looking for the perfect fiver this is it, the more expensive and advanced bass in Lakland catalogue. Swamp Ash body, Quarter-Sawn Rock Maple with Graphite Reinforcement Bars neck, an amazing blue translucent quilted maple top with clear pickguard, birdseye maple neck and Lakland USA LH3 preamp and pickups. The bass is in near mint condition -just a tiny ding scrape in the head stock- and comes with the manuals and the original cream Lakland case. The case was only one time outside home but was enough to acquire just a few scuffs and spots, otherwise in perfect shape. Perfect pro set-up with brand new Elixir strings, low action without any buzz at all. Picked brand new at Basscentral (Florida) this year between almost a dozen of 55-94 with Bartolini and Lakland electronics, this one was the winner in all ranks: The best sounding, lighter weight and better and bigger resonance of all of them: http://www.basscentral.com/lakeland_usa/lakland_55_94.shtml I don't know exactly the weight but it's ridiculous light (I guess about 7 lbs), even lighter than any of my 4 string basses. It's truly difficult to get this model in Europe so it's a high end american bass: 4200 USD street price in the States + taxes, more than 3500 pounds in Europe with shipping and customs fees. So I'm looking for £2200 or euro equivalent + shipping to any european country, a real bargain given the street price of that piece of art. If doesn't sell no problem at all but I can't lower this price and lose more money with this mint condition selected bass. Definitely you are more than welcome in give a try to this beauty here in Spain (or any friend or relative), you will love it, my promise. It's hard not falling in love with it so the LH3 REALLY nails the MM, Jazz, and P-bass tone and then it has a unique voice of its own too. So now it's your chance, maybe the only bass you would ever need that unfortunately is not for me so I just can't manage a 5 string even this purchase was my perfect excuse to begin with it. Honestly I just don't know how a bass guitar could be made any better or play any better than a U.S. Lakland and this particular 55-94 is one of the best done, looking and sounding basses in the world period. Will be fully packaged in its case and then placed in a larger outer cardboard box with tons of bubble wrap between the case and the box so no harm will come to it at all. For 70-75 pounds to any european country will be in 4-5 days at your home with a traceable express shipping. jsixties
Thanks again for your words. This bass is a beauty, no doubt here, but the main point is that sounds absolutely incredible so I can't resist it even I am a 4 strings guy. BigBeatNut
Lovely bass. Can't understand why it hasn't shifted. Only reason I'm not making an offer is that I already have one And if this plays anything like mine it won't dissapoint. Andy
jsixties
Thanks Andy, this bass is INCREDIBLE and at least the best 55-94 between all checked when the purchase.
Kiwi
It's a damn sexy instrument...
Kiwi
Jesus, I'd love to have this. If I didn't have my needs covered by the Celinder P and J, the Musicman and both Spectors, plus could have the Lakky's neck shaved a tad...this really is a gorgeous sounding bass for any Fender fans who want something more contemporary. Growl in f***it loads. BTW shipping to NZ might be a little more than 70 quid
jsixties
And for the second time on hold in two weeks the potential buyer can't collect the money finally, so available again... Here's a review over the 55-94 Classic (cheaper than this one) with the new Lakland electronics: http://www.doctorbass.net/en/producto.asp?...dfam=1000167717
