Telebass
Finally got to putting new tuners on my MIM P. What a difference! I installed Schaller BMFLs. The extra mass hasn't unbalanced it any, and it has eliminated a weak deadspot at the 5th fret, G string. And of course, the tuning is much nicer and more accurate than the MIM tuners. This bass is now as modded as it will ever be. Tuners, '94 AmStd pickup, b/w/b guard, complete rewire with CTS pots and Switchcraft jack. Will attempt some pictures later on. Edit: forgot the covers and finger rest! Edited December 24, 2009 by Telebass
neilb
I changed the MIM tuners on my two MIMs to Schaller Fender types for exactly the reasons you said.
