KernewekMaw
Hi all, My name is Terry and I am a complete newbie. I have somehow got my hands on an OLP MM2 and decided to give it a go. I am 44 so not sure how it is going to go. I'm taking lessons from Ben B Bass in the Medway who is full of enthusiasm. Prior to taking up the Bass I played the Ukulele, so finding the strings should not be a problem, just the long neck to contend with. Hopefully I will be able to get some tips here and in the future "who knows" maybe join a band and live the dream. Cheers
arsenic
Hi, and welcome to the forum from another Terry, also well into his 40's. I'm sure you will find the good folks here more than helpful and friendly.
Telebass
Hi Terry, and welcome! You're never too old, and as soon as you can even think about blagging through a few numbers, start playing with others if you can. In at the deep end is always a good thing! KernewekMaw
Great advice thanks. Living in Kent weekdays I am taking lessons and the tutor is awesome. he gets on the drums and away we go (after some theory). I would love to be playing in a band eventually. I may look at some of the Jam nights advertised to see what dizzy heights I need to climb.
