dave1960
HI ALL I HAVE JUST SIGNED UP TO BASSCHAT HERE IS MY HISTORY. I STARTED PLAYING BASS IN 1974 ON A JEDSON BASS I PROCEEDED TO AN EROS EB3 IN NATURAL WOOD THEN WENT TO AN ARIA P BASS THEN TO A RICKENBACKER 4001 STEREO THEN TO ONE OF MANY FENDER P BASSES I HAD THAT ONE NICKED THEN I HAD A JAZZ THEN ANOTHER P BASS THEN AN ARIA SB600 THEN ANOTHER P BASS THEN A HOHNER HEADLESS THAT WAS GOOD,THEN I RETIRED FOR TWO YEARS PICKED IT UP AGAIN HAD A SQUIER P BASS THEN A FENDER DONALD DUCK DUNN P BASS WHICH I STILL HAVE AND THEN I BOUGHT AS A BACKUP A FENDER GEDDY LEE JAZZ BASS (bloody good). I AM LOCATED IN CREWE CHESHIRE AND CURRENTLY PLAYING IN A SIXTIES OUTFIT BUT I AM ALSO GETTING TOGETHER A CLASSIC ROCK TRIO. I HAVE HAD LOADS OF AMPS AND CABS OVER THE YEARS BUT IM CURRENTLY USING AN AMPEG SVT350 AND AN AMPEG 410 HLF BUT IM SERIOUSLY THINKING OF CHANGING IT FOR AN ASHDOWN RIG BUT JUST CAN SEEM TO MAKE MY MIND UP YET. Telebass
Welcome! Ashdown is good sounding, but there have been reliability issues with some older far-eastern built kit. New should be fine, or British built. My previous rig was an Ashdown - very good it was too. BTW, you might want to check that caps lock...
