Stag Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 how does he get that extremely sweet sound? Its a really lovely bass sound that suits the Unplugged set perfectly. Quote
Noisyjon Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Sounds to me like there's some chorus effect on his sound... Quote
bassoctopus Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 He seems to always use Warwick Stage 1 basses. Although recently he's started using the StarBass II for acoustic stuff. Great player and sound Quote
Stag Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 That sound is real nice with the acoustic bass for that album, it complements the sound so well - helps that he plays quite tasteful and melodic lines along with Sean (who is a massively underrated drummer imo) Quote

Johnny Wishbone Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Read an interview with him about the Unplugged session a few years ago. IIRC it was an Alvarez acoustic through a cheap no-name chorus he picked up for $10 from a junk shop. Quote
