eubassix Posted December 30, 2009 Share Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) Picked up in a local deal and haven't been able to find-out much about them thus far, but seems a decent quality MM Stingray copy. It was quite dirty and poorly set-up when I first received it, but it's been dismantled, cleaned-and-checked, carefully reassembled and it's now nicely set-up and is in good-to-excellent overall condition. The burst finish is pretty nice and the neck profile seems right: it also has (I think) an ebony fretboard ! The pickguard doesn't fit perfectly in all places and there are a few cracks in it - but it should be easy to source an alternative (might need adapting slightly) if you don't like the clear/frosted effect. I'll post a range of pictures. There's also (now) a gig-bag with it. Found the following links for the Aslin Dane (general) brand but still not sure where these are made and when .. and (possibly) what happened to them (?). The Dk. link seems to list the bass at = £495 which seems ludicrously high, but I'm not sure of instrument costs in Dk. and this does compare well with other MM-Sr clones I've seen.
