TGEvans Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Is there much difference berween the two korg tuners?the 1000 and the 2000 i think?how do they compare to the peterson one? Im guessing that the behringer one aint much cop!seen them going pretty cheap though, any onfo would be cool,t Quote
Dr.Dave Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I've only tried the one I have - the cheaper of the Korgs - and I wouldn't want to gig without it. If it's reliable and it works I can't see there'll be much difference between brands. Quote
JimBobTTD Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I've only tried the Behringer one I have and it is rubbish. I'd like to get a Korg (if they do one with a light underneath it) at some point, but I'm surviving rather well with a small handheld Korg tuner and using the Tuner Out on my amp. Quote

Thunderthumbs Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I've got the DTR-1000 and it works great. I don't know whether the DTR-2000 offers anything else to warrant more expense for what I need. Second hand circa £80 would seem fair price for me. Quote
Gunsfreddy2003 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Can't answer the question on the differences between the two Korg's but I have a Behringer and have to say that it is not too bad at all! It is terrible with the low string of my 5 string but works faultlessly with my 4 string and they are a heck of a lot cheaper than the Korgs! Hot Tub Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I have the Behringer rack unit (BTR2000 I think?), and it's been reliable and accurate. I used it to set up the intonation on both my 4 and 5 string instruments and was VERY happy with the results. In everyday use it does what it says on the tin. But.... it's Behringer Oh, and I agree with the earlier comment about the low B not tracking, but I always tune that from the 5th/7th fret harmonic from the E. Quote
waynepunkdude Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I think the DTR2000 has the metronome and rack light but is the same tuner as the DTR1000 which is the one I have. I had the Behringer I wasn't a fan. Quote

TGEvans Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 thinking i may go with a line 6 bass floor pod maybe.got the tuner on it.plus a few distortions and the volume pedal.thanks though guys. Quote
paulie Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The Peterson is a much more accurate tuner than the Korg I have the older version of the Korg 2000, before they went plastic with red and blue lights. Korgs are great but the Peterson is a step up in my opinion Quote
