I think they look absolutely fantastic (apart from the "rivet" type things). Sound like they're made with great components using the Nordstrands.

Be a bit of sod to keep clean though, finger prints and all.

Tokai did the aluminium thing a while ago with the TALBO - Tokai ALuminium BOdy, which to me looked much better.

Vinatge Guitars did a review Here, and gives the date as 1982.

May catch on - may not!!!

It's a pity that they didn't put an aluminium neck on it too. I love my all-aluminium hollowbody.

I wonder if all those rivets mean that there's a wooden core running through the body with the bridge, pickups etc bolted to it.

That's quite cool. I don't mind the rivets. The shape is not really for me but I can see why some love it.

Now THIS, I would love. It's a Trussart and he's been making Steelcasters for years. Seriously not cheap though.

I've never tried one either. It's just something I reckon I'd buy if I won the lottery and hope it played as great as it looks.

I quite like the original link (like the finish, not the shape though). And really like the all-aluminium hollowbody.

Aesthetically I prefer them to the exotic woods, but then again I have quite an industrial taste when it comes to design.
I've just had a thought.....

If a slightly dodgy party gets in in the next election and we end up going to war, all of these will be confiscated by the government to make Spitfires......

No one will be able to afford these - or anything - if the dodgy party get in and hike up VAT and cosy up to the banks again!

I've got the six string version - it's completely hollow. There's a pair of rails running through the body. Infact have a look at this video, it explains it far better than I can. I've not tried the bass but I bought a six string with a one off copper relic finish sight unseen, I'll never regret it cos it's absolutely beautiful in every way.

Would love to try the Trussart one.
Saw a band in the local on New Years and the lead guitarist had a Trussart and an American deluxe Tele.
He only used the Fender for one song.
They look so alien and weird, yet strangely beautiful :)
