OutToPlayJazz Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 But it's soooooooooooooooooooo ugly! Quote
tonyf Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I think they look absolutely fantastic (apart from the "rivet" type things). Sound like they're made with great components using the Nordstrands. Be a bit of sod to keep clean though, finger prints and all. Quote
AndyTravis Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Yeah, it's the rivet's i find offensive. Like the shape though, wonder if they could do it in anodized blue....? Quote
The Burpster Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Eeeeeeee lad, a Barnsley fightin' guitar...... Quote
arsenic Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Tokai did the aluminium thing a while ago with the TALBO - Tokai ALuminium BOdy, which to me looked much better. Vinatge Guitars did a review Here, and gives the date as 1982. May catch on - may not!!! Quote
jamesbass116 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 i LOVE those massive rivets........... Quote
dangerboy Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 It's a pity that they didn't put an aluminium neck on it too. I love my all-aluminium hollowbody. The Burpster Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I've just had a thought..... If a slightly dodgy party gets in in the next election and we end up going to war, all of these will be confiscated by the government to make Spitfires...... Quote
Jarhead Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Haha, I quite like it, except for those rivets, and it would be better with an aluminium neck. That in an anodized red or blue would look great. Zach Quote
leschirons Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 That's quite cool. I don't mind the rivets. The shape is not really for me but I can see why some love it. Now THIS, I would love. It's a Trussart and he's been making Steelcasters for years. Seriously not cheap though. Quote
AndyTravis Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 they had a trussart steelcaster bass at bassday uk 09, i didn't get chance to sit with it, but i've fancied one for a while. Quote

It's just something I reckon I'd buy if I won the lottery and hope it played as great as it looks. Quote

And really like the all-aluminium hollowbody. Aesthetically I prefer them to the exotic woods, but then again I have quite an industrial taste when it comes to design. Quote

There's a pair of rails running through the body. Infact have a look at this video, it explains it far better than I can. I've not tried the bass but I bought a six string with a one off copper relic finish sight unseen, I'll never regret it cos it's absolutely beautiful in every way. thisnameistaken Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I used to know a guy who had an aluminium DB with strat knobs on it, thing looked amazing. Quote
basshead56 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Would love to try the Trussart one. Saw a band in the local on New Years and the lead guitarist had a Trussart and an American deluxe Tele. He only used the Fender for one song. They look so alien and weird, yet strangely beautiful Quote
