Hi , I have a couple of Trace RAH500 's, from when I used to really play !( good old bi-amp days) and I don't use either of the now, mainly 'cos I would need to take 2 cabs with me, and I don't want to do that . Could I wire a switch into the power supply to one channel, so that only one 250 watt side powered up ? I used to love the sound when using them.

The other amp, the ppa600, has an on off switch for each channel, but has separate transformers for each side. However, it is soooo heavy, do you know if it's feasable to make 2 mono amps from it ?

Have I put this in the wrong forum, or do I need to get out more ? Should I move it ( how ) to the Technical Forum ?
