moonbass
Hi, I've got the urge to go Musicman-stylee with my Disco-funk band. Am ideally looking for a natural finish Stingray or Sterling 4, but would like to try as many out as possible before buying. Does anyone know any music stores who have a good selection at the moment? I'm based in Cambridge but willing to travel. Any suggestions welcomed. Cheers, Andy.
OutToPlayJazz
You're welcome to come up and try my two - 2000 Stingray piezo model natural/rosewood 4-string with satin lacquered neck & blue pearl/rosewood Stingray 5. Electro music (40 mins away from me) usually have a selection of MM stock knocking around.
moonbass
Thanks for the offer OTPJ... however, I accidently went and bought a natural stingray off another basschatter.... should arrive in post tomorrow! Whoops; guess I'll find out if I like 'em the expensive way! A.
OutToPlayJazz
That natural one looked really nice. You may want to get the neck/fingerboard satin lacquered if you want to avoid the manky greeness occuring. Mine's been done & it's about the best wooden neck I've ever played.
