Jono Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 (edited) Yamaha Fretless 5 String - Lined £200 including delivery. PENDING TRADE In very good condition. Some very slight dings which i couldn't even photo and some slight tarnishing to the gold hardware. Otherwise as good as new. I bought it new in 98/99 for around £450. Yamaha soapbars and active circuit. Controls are vol, pot pan, treble and bass. Separate battery compartment. Maple finish on the back of the neck. Model number is RBX765A. Great introduction to fretless. It has elites flatwounds on for that 'mwah' sound... Reluctant sale but I have recently gained a daughter and upgraded to a modulus fretless at the same time! cockbongo Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I've played a fretted one of these since 1998 (also blue!) and they're extremely good value for money. £230 is a steal. Quite tempted to buy this just to save me ripping the frets off mine....! Good luck with the sale mate. T
Machines Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Great bass and great price.. nothing more to say really .
Golchen Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Hmmmmnn .................... tempted. 6 months ago I'd have bitten your arm off for a 5 string fretless, but I've been off of bass playing for ages in favour of other instruments. I presume it began life with frets and was de-fretted?
Jono Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 Yes - defretted by Martin Peterson (of the Gallery and Seibass fame) and he did a very good job as you'd expect...
