Dandelion Posted January 10, 2010 Share Posted January 10, 2010 I have been lurking for a while and now feel it is time to introduce myself. (Cough) I acquired my first bass at age 17 it was a passive Aria Pro II cat bass, I still have it, but its neck is now shaped like a dogs back leg. I played in a few local bands before giving up in 1993 in order to go to University, I took the bass with me but it was just furniture. The bass gathered dust, and the Laney DP100 rusted away in the garage. Fast Forward to 2009.. The Cat bass was dusted off and a few rudimentary tunes were attempted, despite the passage of time, all felt good. The Laney however, is knackered. So I am a newbie again, with a new Mexican Fender Jazz which I bought, thanks to this site off Pegasus14 (Thanks again) No bass amp as yet, so playing through a Peavey rage I`m learning new stuff all the time on here and my finger callouses are beginning to reform.
