She's had a hard life, been used and abused and lived up an attic for a few years. Needs some TLC but still sounds pretty sweet

Really like this bass.

Thought I would share my Shuker Artist 6. I chambered body light weight six string with Delano and Piezo pickups.

Great bass...what's the piezo system?
It's a pickup under the bridge like an electric acoustic guitar. It gives a very pure tone that has a ringing / reverb sound that hangs onto the end of the higher notes, again very like an acoustic guitar.

Sorry..bad phrasing from me. What I meant to ask was..what system is Jon Shuker using these days/fitted to your bass? I know he was using (expensive?) Schertler stuff a while back...curious to know if he's moved on to anything else.....

That looks like my original Verithin!

Yet another Verithin, which I've owned since the late 80s.

It dates from 1967, so it's the same age as me :)

It could well be!

I've had it for about 4 or so years now, I dunno how long the guy I go it from had it for though.

If it is my old one she's a 63 and I sold her back in the late 90's.

Warwick Pro-Series MiK Star Bass.
Those are nice .... if they made them in a wider string spacing (at pro-series prices) I'd have got one long ago.

Noticed I never posted this one here, it's another DIY project.

This is Mavis, my Yamaha Bex. She will be making a visit to the Midlands Bass Bash on May 10th, and would love to meet you all.

That looks fabulous.
Thanks! I'm enjoying everything about it except the ugly generic Warwick paddle shaped headstock. If I can the cash spare it would be off to a reputable luthier to have it restyled into something more in keeping with the rest of the design of the bass.

I remember you saying you didn't like the headstock, which I kind of agree with you, but the gold with gold hardware looks superb despite my common resistance to gold hardware.
