BigRedX
I remember you saying you didn't like the headstock, which I kind of agree with you, but the gold with gold hardware looks superb despite my common resistance to gold hardware.
TBH I've been considering getting a second one as a backup. I really wish I'd bought the B-stock one in Daphne Blue that was on Thomann. However after reading a couple of things on hear about B-stock I was a bit wary. Turns out from perusing another forum it was as a result of someone who'd not been able to decide which colour to buy and had got all three to see what they actually looked like and had then sent the two he didn't want to keep back! Got to agree on the gold hardware. It really looks good on this bass. Was going to say I'm not a big fan either, but just looking at my collection I have 4 basses with gold hardware! Shaggy
Warwick Pro-Series MiK Star Bass. I liked their jack Bruce sig bass, but that's even nicer I guess it's "centre block" construction?
franzbassist
I have this wonderful Sandberg Custom Thinline. Mahogany/walnut hollowbody with a 4mm flame maple cap, rosewood fingerboard, nut and floating bridge. Electronics are a 3 band eq with active/passive switch (passive tone control when in passive mode). Just 7lbs, and perfect balance! I've put some low tension flats on it and the woody tone is just wonderful. The hollow body gives terrific bloom to the notes, and the Delano X-Tender pickup has a really even output. BassBod
Here's a scruffy photo of the Rick Turner Renaissance. Somewhere between a classical guitar and a Telecaster, with a jazz bass neck. Very odd, but it works! I need to experiment with strings at some point, but for the moment the Thomastik flats do a good job. Even so, at decent stage volumes I can sometimes feel the air moving in and out of the f-holes! However given the right sound it feeds back quite nicely when persuaded, and not a horrible bass rumble.
