MacDaddy
The bass synth sound I'm after is like on here. You can here it better during the breakdown at 2min 18sec. Can you get this sound from the Line 6 floor Pod, Boss ME-50, OR Zoom B2.1U? If the budget option doesn't work what will? cheers
thisnameistaken
For me the defining character of it is the way the filter closes regularly at a set rate, so your best bet would be the EHX Bass Micro Synth. Although I don't know how you'd add that sharp attack 'click' (or even if you want it). I don't know anything cheaper that has an "ADSR"-style filter envelope. Maybe the Line 6 FM-4 does it too, but I don't know, and that's an expensive and bulky box just like the BMS.
MacDaddy
I was hoping to avoid the seperate pedals route. If the Line 6 FM-4 can do it, do you reckon the Pod Live would be able to too?
thisnameistaken
I don't know anything about the POD products, sorry.
Guest BassKS
EHX Enigma has ADSR envelope. And its cheaper than FM4. FM4 makes awesome sounds but most of them are not very useful.
Silent Fly
I suspect that for the sound of the video, you need a keyboard. You can go in that direction with a compressor, a little bit of chorus and playing with a pick. A good octaver can help.
ped
I think the Vbass could cop that sound -in fact one of the presets sounds similar. Unfortunately that will requite a bit of woodwork or some rather heavy modification to work on your lovely little bass! ped

I had the guitar version when it first came out - awesome in the studio. I'll take another look at the bass one when I can go wireless with it.
