colda Posted October 24, 2007 Share Posted October 24, 2007 Okies, first off I've never been to one and dunno what's involved - so help and advice will be required! I can sort out a good sized venue, a beer promotion (£1.50 a pint), some involvement from local music shop(s), local bands (although might be nice to have one or two members bands), PA system and backline. A good sized part of the room can be dedicated to having gear set up for peeps to do whatever they do at these kinda things. I can do it on a Thurs night or all day on a Sunday (which would be preferred?) - other days/times may be possible No reason why it can't be a free event (this of course also means that bands will be playing for free) So, anyone interested? - if there's enough interest then I'll make it happen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm sure the guys who've organised meets elsewhere could give you good advice on what works well. Not having been to one I couldn't! It seems to me people turn up with stacks of kit and drool over one another's rigs/instruments/technique then come home and post pictures of one another on this forum. Sounds great to me.
