It makes a pretty decent space heater...seriously.

A MK1 and a MK2 with the biggest transformers in town.

Here's a shot or three of my home built preamp. Two channels, one based on the F-1X and the other a sort of Baxendall circuit. A selector switch allows you to select either or the third position has the signal running through both. I've yet to tidy the wiring a little more and clip it all into place.
Works rather nicely and squeezed into a 1U case. However like most of my projects as soon as I've finished it I'm bored and move onto something else :)

Some great amp guts pics. Very interesting too see.
I have a few I need to dig out or take a pic off.

This is my recent bugera bvp5500 purchase. I've had a good look in there and was actually very impressed. Looks a fairly clean design. All soldered very well it seems. Huge heatsink. I'm liking the valve clamping system.
Loosely based and the ampeg svt 3 pro.
One design issue I don't like is the fuse is really close to the lid. It shouldn't touch and the lid does have an adhesive non conductive patch as a fail safe, but still I think it should of been slightly lower on the circuit board.
Excellent price to quality/tone ratio.

Fantastic amps. But dare I say I'm a little disappointed, don't know why but they cost so much and while I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the design etc. I almost expect to see something magical in there.
If you get my meaning.
Although top side they really do look the business!!!
So much want from me lol

I'm a bit surprised to see PCB-mounted valve sockets at the price those things go for!

Indeed. Although if your not throwing the amp around or your not tube rolling every week I don't think there would be an issue.

Taken some pics as my broken ABM1000 is on it's way to Ashdown for repair, might as well share them!

That doesn't sound good - did it have an accident?
Yep, took a dive in the band van at some point last week - had a padded sleeve on it, but it must've had a good whack to dislodge the power amp from the chassis. And that's only the visible damage. Hoping it's not going to be too expensive to repair, but I'm not holding my breath, I've got a terrible feeling that abletec power module comes only as a complete unit......sigh.

Thought I'd posted this here before but obviously not. Here's the innards of a man sized amp 😎
