mikeh
Im looking as possibly trading my GK 1001 RB II amp for a MB SA450. My amp is in excellent nick, and sounds amazing just looking at maybe something smaller/lighter. Edited November 4, 2007 by mikeh

mikeh
Bump , I will consider other light weight amps with cash adjustment either way depending on amp.
dave_bass5
Good move. i sold my GK to fund a LMII (i already had a SA450). I liked the GK sound but felt the MB sound was nicer and fuller while being cleaner. Good luck.
mikeh
TBH Dave after abing with a MB LM II I found the GK had it on sound, Im just trying to make my rig as small as possible. I will also take cash offers now.

bass_ferret
Not being funny Mike but it goes like this. GK amps and GK cabs have a unique synergy. The amps and cabs have a built in bi-amp using the right cables. You have been using a GK amp with a.n.other cab with which cable? Try Homers GK cabs before you make a rash decision. minty fresh death
nvm i've just looked up the weight of the gk1001rb and it's 18 lbs, guess I thought the gbe400 was light because i'm used to handleing tube amps!
