Beer of the Bass Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 No-name P bass on Edinburgh Gumtree for 50 quid. Headstock looks a lot like some 70's Japanese P copies I've seen. Beer of the Bass Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Good question. Maybe a bit of card in the slot to "fix" a worn down nut? I've seen that a few times. Quote

Musky Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 It's an Aria SB700. The SB series are very well regarded and came from a time when Matsumoku were at the top of their game, so I don't think you'll do badly in terms of playability (assuming nothing untoward has happened to it of course). As for price, I haven't the foggiest I'm afraid. I don't doubt that Noel could give you the low down if you give him a PM. Quote

FlatEric Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I just love Aria Basses of this period! You CANNOT go wrong! If there are no issues, you will not regret it. These things are WAY undervalued - buy it and you will see what I mean. Cheers. Quote
Jerry_B Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 +1 to what Eric says. These are great basses - always have been and always will be. Quote
