Loving that, no spare cash though. and all that tape on the case will add 20 quid to postage. :)

Some kind of bitsa with a Thunder neck and a Westbury Track II body or a factory prototype or just something I've never seen before?

A Jedson. "Don't think it was the best guitar in the world when it was new". I wouldn't disagree there.

Except for the pups, this looks like my old Eros copy, even the hard case is the same.
A bit heavy but it had a lovely neck, the original pups werent bad, but they went microphomic in the end.

The description is genius!
Considered desirable and very playable. Tonal range from warm jazzy to more treble. Is of shorter scale, which is not to be confused with a beginner bass...for example it is the the same scale length as the Bass Paul McCartney commonly used in The Beatles.
Dear Seller,
For the pedants, of which I be one, it's a RoadSTER

From what I've read and gleaned, the RoadSTARS where inferior to these. Never played a STAR but my passive STER gets gigged regularly.

Kill switch?
There are a couple less likely things I could think of too.

Washburn Vulture bass on eBay, through neck, original hard case. This is probably 79/81-ish and top quality bit of kit. Matsumoku or Yamaki. Too heavy for me but deserves a good home.

Not sure what this is, but it looks very Japanese. The 6-bolt neck is interesting.

Matsumoku produced a build like this, with six-bolt neck joint and Maxon pickup. Most had a sticker decal with the name of the own-brander applied to the headstock. But the design is common to a number of factories.
