£60? That's bloody ludicrous. Someone in Luton buy this, ffs! You could Ebay it straight away for a clear £100 profit if you don't want it.

I grabbed that Westone :)

Gonna try it out as a backup and shift it on if I don't gel with it.

I had no idea that Westones were really worth anything? They were a bit of an embarassment to have when I was younger - all the cool kids would have laughed

Nah, wouldn't know what to do with an Active bass....where do you plug it into the mains?

Have to say though, even under the 29 years of dirt, this is a lovely thing. The neck is superb!
Hallo Bass People,

I'm thinking about importing a MIJ Jazz from 'Jo's Music Shop" in Japan.

Has anybody had any experience with these guys? ebay.com/Jos-Music-Shop
I've no experience of them, or even heard of them before, but you'd be better off buying from someone like the Guitar Emporium. A JB62-US costs £734 + about 22% in tax and duties from ebay (ie about £900). The Guitar Emporium is doing them for £759 +£20 delivery.

Surprised no one spotted this:
The nice MIJ EB copies do come up, Kasuga & Matsumoku definitely are worth a look as well as Fujigen. I'll flag 'em if I spot 'em. :)

J.
Couple more interesting suspects on EB-Watch tonight:

A potentially nice Matsumoku - this is the same bass as the Aria 1913.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160387060092

Missing covers, backplate & pin badge (probably said Arbiter or Eros) but looks quite tidy.

And possibly more interesting, but somewhat more of a project - a long-scale slot-headstock example:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=170414421937

Longscale EB copies are very uncommon, and this is probably a Fujigen, possibly originally an Antoria or - amazingly - an Ibanez. Guy won't post so this may be of interest if you're in the SW.

That's no use at all, Jon. He didn't find it in his attic, just a shed. Sheds don't count. :)
