This sort of body tends to be mahogany butcher-block sandwich with front & back veneers. Not sure what wood but apparently birch on the Fujigen-built J copies, which were made the same way.
Suprisingly not!!!
I will take it in to work and weigh it,possibly a few ounces more than a 70s fender I am holding next to it
Mines a good bit heavier than my 91 precision, I'll weigh em both later and see. Could be that being 'japcrap' the wood varies with what was available at the right price at the time I s'pose.

Aria SB1000 active electronics. Given the condition they're in, bent pots etc., they may go for a bargain price. But, given the condition they're in, perhaps the purchaser might find s/he isn't so lucky after all.
SB1000 in case. Looks very nice. If I win it for my ridiculous lowball bid, you can bet I'll travel to where-ever it is in Lincolnshire to pick it up biggrin.gif

Topped out at a quite reasonable £430.

But I bid £200 or something :)

A recent Japanese made six string purchase has zeroed (and more!) my instrument buying budget. So, I can have fun with lowball bids for a while until I get serious again in a few months time.

Decent-ish looking P project, £35 BIN

You'll have to be quick - it runs out in about 35 mins! Not a Marlin, more likely an Italian-made Melody, although with no pics of the back I can't be too sure. If I didn't have a basement full of crap projects & little time (or inclination, if I'm honest) to sort them, I'd grab this myself - probably wouldn't take much to sort.

Spoilsport! He does say it's been on his wall.

Two necks, twice the fun :)

(No, I wouldn't pay £500 for it either).

Anyway what the hell am I on about - GTFO with that bloody g*it*r, Quisling! :) :)

Ebay listing claims that this is a "Cimar branded Ibanez Blazer". Not sure if that's true, but the headstock seems to check out.

Edit: I haven't been posting SB1000s here as they turn up a bit too often to be notable. However, there's something about the grain of this one that I like. Though, it could be the white balance on the camera :)

Nah, it's not. It is of the "Cimar By Ibanez" era so Cimar was a Hoshino brand at this point - according to various bits & pieces on the ICW forum, it definitely wasn't when they were making full-on copies. Blazer/Roadster shape headstocks appear on all of the Fender-derived Cimars of the post-copy era, and these do appear to be Fujigens, unlike the older copies. However there are a lot of detail differences between this bass & a Blazer - body shape, scratchplate, tuners, bridge etc. Interestingly though, the Cimar Stinger is exactly the same as the early Ibby Blazer.

A bit of rather uncommon KoreaDiarrhoea for a change, at a completely daft-cheap £60 BIN:

Vester Jazz copy

Serious bargain, I'd be inclined to think - never played one myself but these are meant to be good, and have a bit of Fender-baiting history - a "proper" lawsuit, where the brand was shut down due to its apparent phonetic similarity to the "F" word. They probably weren't too keen on knockoffs this similar to the real thing either.

Saw this new listing on eBay this morning -Jackson Charvette bass, claiming to be MIJ.

Are they any good? I've had a brief Google and opinions seem to vary between not bad to little better than firewood.
