Annoying Twit
Everyone else's crack converters seem much better than mine. I dropped in one one today, and apart from a Satellite six string, rather awful looking, they've had for ages, nothing. When will I see a decent JPN Jazz Bass in one? Bassassin
Aria Pro II RSB Deluxe 2 £150 BIN or best offer. Total bargain, if it's as good nick as the pics make it appear. One of these (in blue/black burst) was my no.1 bass from 1984, when I bought it new, up until about 2000 when I retired it due to an irreparable neck twist it had gradually developed. Light, comfortable, beautifully made, passive with lots of switching options making it very versatile, slim J-esque neck. And drop-dead gorgeous. Just look at it! Obviously I'd buy it if he'd post; in fact half-tempted to see if he'll hang onto it until I go down to Birmingham for the bike show next month... Nah. Too many basses. One of you buy it. J. Bassassin
Call me weird (just not all at once) but I actually quite like that Commodore. In terms of design anyway...
This is essentially the same as the Epiphone ET-280s that come up fairly often - it's a decent little Matsumoku shortscale, and this model's also been seen badged as Aria. The Aria version also has a 4-in-line headstock rather than the 2x2 on the Epi. Looks like the black slap would probably come off easily with a bit of wire wool/acetone etc and I expect the original finish is still there underneath. Considering the restoration it needs though, I think the £99 start is a bit ambitious. The Epis are quite popular & can go for a few quid. Possibly to weirdos but who am I to judge? Jon. Jerry_B
That Commodore's a short-scale? Doesn't look as such from the photos - maybe just my eyes are weird Anyway, I like the dials and the switch and those chunky looking pickups Edited November 15, 2010 by Jerry_B
Bassassin
These are definitely short scale - check the position of the bridge on the body - that body would have to be huge otherwise! The knobs aren't original - I think it probably would have had the tall, narrow transparent type you see on a lot of old JapCraps. These look like they might've come off a 70s hifi. J. And Jerry, although the pickup covers are nice a chunky, they're considerable skinnier when naked!

Happy Jack
With a rather nice Westone 'The Rail' in red currently in For Sale, it was inevitable that another one would immediately surface on eBay!
