Especially having just seen December's issue eBay Bargains Monthly (thanks John!). I also just had my lowball offer declined in a matter of approx. 90 seconds. Ho hum. Until the last two minutes it was only £150 something, and I was watching it VERY INTENTLY. Then it started going up. Annoying Twit
Here's a new game for this thread. You post an ebay listing, and other readers have to spot the wildly inaccurate "fact" mentioned in the listing. Slipperydick
Anybody know anythything abouut Ridgewood ? Bought this for my daughter a few years ago, It plays well, similar looks anf feel to to a passive Bass Collection, although not the same quality of finishing. Doesnt sound too bad either. Never seen one before or since. [attachment=70210:Image006.jpg] [attachment=70211:Image007.jpg]

Bassassin
The bridges are certainly not the same, but they are from different years & there are some obvious changes. The bridge on the 1st pic is a bent-tin style, while the other one's cast, probably brass. The heel ends of the necks are different too - one's rounded & the other's square. That's actually some lovely grain on the second pic - although as the ad stands, I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. J.

Neck dive's not as bad as you'd expect with that body shape & they do look cool as f@ck. The only thing to watch is the 3-point bridge - some of them have a base plate that can be prone to warping & cracking and a replacement (an Epiphone one will fit) can be hard to find & potentially pricey. Apart from that, what's not to like? J.

Paul S
Does the scratch plate hide any routing or is it just been plonked on? And is it the same neck as the other Mats - 40mm at the nut-type thing?
Annoying Twit
I think that Westbury has been on the market before. Barwell is a small place, how many track 2 basses can there be there? If I remember correctly, it was on sale for £180, and I offered less. But more than the current start price however. No response. Now it's on for a start price of £100. Which I'd think is low enough such that it will sell.
