Fender Aerodyne Jazz ON HOLD - TRADE PENDING

Got this in a trade recently, it's the second aerodyne i've had, and while they're absolutely stunning visually IMHO, they just aren't the bass for me.

Its dolphin grey with matching headstock and a black pickguard and the previous owner replaced the bridge pup with a usa jazz one. I'll get some more details and some pics up as soon as. It's not pristine - there are a couple of dings to the paintwork and the previous owner fitted ashtray and bridge pup cover (which look cool tbh, and can be included). Price also includes a hard case for shipping.

Edit for trades and pxs,

- I could well be interested in a Jazz V or maybe even a 4
- maybe a px for some kind of step sequencer a la Korg Electribe EX series +cash
- possibly a 2 x 15 cab
- not had a combo for a while so that could be a goer
- cold, hard cash

I don't want to add cash to the deal tbh tho

hmmm, I don't really do guitars, but have you got a couple of pics? - depending on cash adjustment, it may be of interest to my daughter

I've not had time to take pics yet, but you can see a stock pic in my thread here.
Mine is in sky blue, very pretty and near perfect with an easy action and great sound.

I'm also unsure about the bass - I need a fairly lightweight alternative to my old jazz bass, with a deep smooth tone for reggae.

Well I can definately weigh for you, as for deep smooth tone for reggae - I really don't know, youve got a p pup and a jazz pup so there's quite a range of sounds - it'd probably get you close if you stuck some flats on it i would imagine
Would you be interested in a trade for a Tech Soundsystems TVM350 head. 350W @ 4 Ohms, 420W @ 2 Ohms, passive EQ, compressor? Fitted in a 3U stagg bag.
Hmm, interesting - I'm not sure if the power ratings are particularly compatable with my cabs tho'.

I couldn't find much info about these on the web, d'yu know of any links to reviews etc I could take a look at?

Good luck with the sale, shes a beaut!
Hi Shaun, I'm glad the fretless is working out for you. When we did the trade I wasn't sure that I'd get on with this one, but it's such a great looking bass that I had to give it a try. Cheers

I saw your for sale thread - it's a lovely looking bass but i don't really do precisions. If it had been a jazz I may have been tempted. Ta for the offer tho :)

reviews are particularly hard to find. It's a great head. It's backup for my main head, the more powerful version, and so never gets used. It has a huge sound. Loads of bottom end and loads of character. I took it in for a major overhaul and the guy repairing it couldn't believe it was completely solid state.

Cheers for the info, but i think I'll have to pass. I quite like the look of it but it won't fit into my current setup/needs.
