la bella flats swap

I've got a heavy set of la bella flatwound strings that have been on a 5 string musicman anyone want to swap for a set of Thomastic Infield Flats even the four string set would do.

Hiya, I'm not really up for swapping, but I'm interested to know why you prefer the TIs? I've been using them for a few years now and have been thinking about trying a set of la bellas next time I get some strings (probably in a few years time )

I've used both TIs and La Bellas on my fretless SR5. I felt the TIs were a bit too flexible and sproingy with the tighter string spacing of the SR5 (I've used them happily on my Squier fretless with 19mm spacing), although the sound was great -- plenty of bite and enough zing. The La Bellas, on the other hand, are much firmer with a darker sound (and not quite as smooth a feel under the fingers). It's all darkness and growl with them.

I've since stuck a set of Status half-wounds on, just as an experiment, and I think they're the mutt's nuts. A smooth enough feel, with the tonal best bits from the TIs and La Bellas. Zing, growl, bite and darkness. Top stuff, and a fair bit cheaper than either!

I've not actually tried the TIs that's why I was thinking of a swap.
If anyone wants to buy the La bellas they can have he 5 string set for £15

But maybe I should check out the status half wounds

I liked the la bellas for dubby and motown tones but not quite what I was after for other things.

At £21.50 for a 5-string set, it's worth a go. They do flats and black nylon tape sets at the same price, too.

PM'd - I have a 4 string TI Flat set that I would swap for standard gauge (black silk) La Bella flats (I don't need the low B, by the way)
