Any advice on playing fretless?

Here's one I made earlier - the lines on the neck of my bass aren't really that visible - and I only occasionally look at them - it's more about listening to the music you are playing (guitar/piano chords) and hearing whether you are in tune or not - simple as - though I don't always achive that either!!!

I would suggest it's where your head is positioned and your perceived finger placement is the result of optical perspective. I couldn't care less what Gary Willis says but if he hasn't thought of this then I suspect he doesn't put shelves up level either.

I had Gary Willis round to tile my bathroom last summer, I said "Gary, get off your arse, stand back and look" but did he listen? Honestly it looks like Escher did it. Arsehole.
