daisy chaining amps

Would i be able to run a line from the effects output to the instrument input? would that work? How would you go about doing this? ive seen it loads of times where bassists have u multiple amps and im curious how its done.

If you want to use multiple pre-amps, then you have to split your signal before the pre-amps, unless you want one to (over)drive another. If you just want more power, use the amp with the pre you like best, then run a line from the FX send to the FX return on the other amp.
