CraigPlaysBass
Got it off gumtre for £145 in the end. Went round to pick it up, tried it out quickly at the guys house, no sound at all... He whipped the back off and jiggled some wires, suddenly great sound. The variety of tone was fantastic. I'm probably gonna whip the electrics out or maybe just resolder some wires and perhaps replace the jack. Any suggestions at all about what to look out for or anything else I should do? It is well used and needs a clean, new strings and re-setting up...
neepheid
I sold a pristine one for £190 about a year ago, so it's not too shabby a deal.
lemmywinks
Good deal, they sell for nearer £200 on eBay although there's the odd exception. Is it active or Passive?
CraigPlaysBass
I'm not sure... I think it has treble and bass controls but... i'm not sure :L
lemmywinks
If it's got 4 knobs then it's active, same electrics and pickups as the German Corvette i think I tried one before buying my Warwick and was impressed, good score for that price
CraigPlaysBass
Yeah it's got the 4 nobs. Interesting point you made about the electrics, they seemed a bit dodgy when the guy showed them to me, looked like a bit of the wire had come away from one of the pots and needed resoldering :/ and like i said, no sound at all to start with...
