Sean
When I run my Tascam Bass Trainer off the mains I get a tink shock off the strings of my bass. The unit is really noisy when running on the AC too. Any suggestions as to how to cure? Thanks Sean

Seriously mate, there's something wrong so I'd send it back and get a new one Chris
Muppet
Is it the Tascam adaptor and if not are you running it at the right voltage with the correct terminator plug (assuming is it changeable)? Does this happen in different sockets in your home? I don't get this problem at all, so if you can isolate the ac adaptor then it's the unit

Thanks Sean[/quote] Sounds like a bit of earth leakage current to me, which you can get with a mains switching power supply. Is the adapter 3 pin or 2 pin on the mains bit, i.e. is it earthed? If so, is the socket you plug it into earthed? I agree you shouldn't get this so if your mains earth is ok then the adapter must be faulty and you mustn't use it.
