Dom in Dorset
The Fender Aerodine was my favourite bass on looks alone, now it's that particular Fender Aerodine Jazz.
bigsmokebass
is it modded or imported? either way i want one =] i love the warmth of the fretless with a p/j configuration along with the clarity of the notes played. got to admire an unlined fretless for a change too, pretty unseen these days.
It's a modded 'export' model Aerodyne Jazz. There is no factory-produced fretless aerodyne Jazz Fender Japan also make a non-export Aerodyne model. The differences being a black pickguard (the export doesnt have one) and control plate. They are also available in Gun Metal Blue, Dolphin Grey, Olympic white and Candy Apple Red. The export is only avaiable in Black. And now that Fender Japan has changed distribution policies (non export models will remain exactly that as of july/august 09), the availability of non exports will be almost nil. Hope that helps Edited February 5, 2010 by basshead56
Unlined is the way to go. Looks "uncluttered" AND requires a bit of graft to get the intonation right.... Both of which are virtuous!
