Fender thin line P / Tele Bass

I've seen a thin line P Bass in a local music shop,it has:

a sunburst finish, no scratch plate, F hole, P bass & piezo pickups, three controls, wooden bridge.

The neck plate says it's USA, yet the headstock says it made in Japan, it's not the pointy headstock. The serial number on the heal of the neck begins with a N and there's a logo on the end of the headstock which looks like an A (stylised S) E.

Any ideas? I've had a look on the Web and can see basses that look similar, but they have scratch plates!!

Yes it looks very much like that, as I said it's sunburst, and the neck is rosewood fretted. Where did you find the photo? I've looked and couldn't find anything like that. I take it the USA neck plate is a replacement?

It's in Air Guitars for £499 I believe.
