lanark
So ... without being a qualified experience electrician, what should you be regularly doing to keep your amps and speakers in tip top condition? Is there a routine, like the way you'd top up the fluids and change the filters on your car?

I would recommend you keep your gear in a room where it is not too cold or damp and keep a cover over it top stop dust from getting inside. If the speakers are dusty, gently hover them with a brush attachment as the dust could cause some wear. If your amp is dusty inside do the same. If you get problems with pots that crackle, just clean them out with contact spray. If your amp has valves, you could consider replacing them periodically, but it depends on how often you play if you see a benefit or not.
