I sometimes get three or four for new threads in the For Sale section. Would it be because someone adds a new post and then edits it?
Go into "My Controls" under the Basschat banner and then check your Topic and Forum subscriptions on the left hand side, and then "Options - Email settings"

See if changing anything there sorts things out.

It's been happening to me, on and off for a while. For example, I've just received 6 of the same email for the same item listed in the Items Wanted section.

It's this one: -

tredders,

phsycoandy has just posted a new topic entitled "Markbass 151 HR 8 )hm Cab" in forum "Items wanted".

As the title says, dosh waiting.Std 151HR.

Just received 11 notifications for the same topic (http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80066).

Doesn't bother me in the least - delete is my friend, but thought you might want to track the gremlins responsible down!

Just a thought... II wonder if it's a "feature" of Mobile Broadband?

I use a 3G dongle for convenience & it quite likes to "hang" for no readily-explained reason. I've had it do this on more than one occasion when I've been posting (not just on BC, but FB & TB as well), I've hit Stop & then Send & found that I've double-posted. I see it happening on Yahoo Groups as well.

There are a good many people on here that access using a variety of portable devices so maybe that's it?

Pete.
