SOLD late seventies/early eighties Fender Precision

Hey all,

Needing to sell my Precision, this is an amazing bass, and is in fantastic condition and sounds great. S9 serial number however as you know these serial numbers were used for the 80/81 basses too. Its finished in Sienna sunburst and is all original. hard case. wanting to sell as bass endorsement means it doesnt ever get played...and this bass deserves to played. £700 ono

Beautiful! It almost exactly like my '81 in the same colour.
Mine has an s8 serial & came with ashtrays and a black pickup cover.
I suspect yours is an '82 or 83 as it has the white pickup cover and doesn't look like it has been drilled for the ashtrays.

Is the body Ash like mine? Heavy Northern "bassball bat" ash not the light swamp ash

yeh it neck stamped 13 Oct 82 , Cherry Sunburst .. I bought this bass new in 83 and swapped it with Wes last year. It a lovely bass but sadly i just wasn't playing it. I can post pic if anyone wants.

yes there is a fender hard case with it, its of the same era i do believe though at some point it seems to have housed a jazz bass.
