King Tut Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 How loud are these little things? Has anyone got one? Could I keep up with a drummer and guitarist in a trio (using PA support)? Any experiences let me know, Cheers Col Quote
machinehead Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Have only played one in a music shop but IMO they are only good for bedroom practice. I don't think they are actually intended to be used for anything more than that. I certainly don't think you would hear yourself even with a quiet drummer. Frank Quote
King Tut Posted November 1, 2007 Author Posted November 1, 2007 Blimey - that's one expensive practice amp then!! Quote

I was trying one in a shop in Rotteram that was moving and had a 20% off sale. I didn't buy even at that price. 'Nuff said. Frank Quote
King Tut Posted November 3, 2007 Author Posted November 3, 2007 Reckon I'll be sticking with my Cube 100 for those smaller gigs! Quote
Bongo Steve Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I've got to admit to being a tad confused reading your posts, the Minimark is capable of being a 250 watt amp, which would be a little loud as a bedroom amp. whereas the Micromark is a 50 watt amp Machinehead can you clarify which one you've tried? King Tut Posted November 4, 2007 Author Posted November 4, 2007 I wondered if machinehead was describing the ame amp - whaddya say matey?? Quote
machinehead Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 oooops. Yes, it was the micromark I tried. Sorry chaps. Still stand over what I said regarding the micromark although the minimark is probably a different matter. Much as I love markbass gear (and I've owned a range of their amps and cabs), I can't help feeling there's better value to be had elsewhere in the smaller combos. Frank Quote
bnt Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I've been wondering about one of these too, so the review in Bass Guitar magazine looks encouraging. I like the idea of the basic controls, and I don't need 3-band EQ on the amp, when I have it on my bass already. Quote
