bubinga5
I have a rehearsal next wednesday in Bristol and was wondering what you all thought of the music, and how you might approach it..... its not what i usually play, but i like it..Love the lyrics from Jess... also love the violin in some songs.... So called Love is a great tune...a little latin in its feel..? ...and i love playing with a latin feel... yes i hear the sloppy drumming and bass playing??!!..how does this happen when recording? its almost as if a bass would ruin the acoustic feel of the songs ( apart from the said song) so im very sensitive to not change that too much...i have some bass lines that may give it some great melodic bass foundation.. What would you take Fender or Sei?..ok active or passive... Would love to hear your thoughts on the music and the way YOU may would play the bass lines...remember i am left open on what i can play (which is fantastic)!!.any input is much appreciated... ThomBassmonkey
Sounds pretty cool, very nice feel to the songs and she seems a good singer. Personally I'd be a bit busier than those lines. Not over the top but add a few running notes between chords to tie it in a bit. I'd also try and emphasise the differences between sections, some of the songs seem to rotate around the same couple of chords and with such an open sound it sounds a bit samey through the song. She's good.
