Here you go; as promised some sound clips of the Spector in action. Please forgive the very shoddy playing though, I didn't have much time to play around :)

Well, I sold one of my Yamaha RBX 6JM's to Chirac (Thanks mate), and wasn't going to buy another bass, then I found THIS, cheap in the U.S.A.

I know it's been defretted, it's going to be refretted as soon as it gets here, and the tuners returned to the normal position

I've always wanted a Thru neck Spector with P+J pick ups, and the Crown inlays, and surprisingly, I love the colour

Any idea what fretwire they used?

No Spectors added to this thread for a while, so here's my recently purchased Euro 5 LX:

Bought from DesmondPot a few weeks ago (and owned by a few others on the forum before him) & it's an absolutely stunning bass; really comfortable, sounds awesome & plays like a dream.

Always wanted a Spector - if they're all this good I can see why they're so popular.

Rhys, gorgeous Spector there my friend!
Cheers matey! :)

It's an absolutely superb bass & I love it - the Zons haven't been out of their cases since I got it.
There's not a single thing I don't like about it

My 1999 NS 2000-4 ... Only year they made 'em with this body ! Plays like an angel...Slightly tighter brighter sound than the Streamer but then it's denser wood, the bass weighs nearly 12lbs!

Didnt know we had a Spector thread. I must get a decent snap of my two. In the meantime a live shot will have to suffice.

Getting serious pangs for a Euro 5 again looking at this thread and wondering whether one of my Stingray 5s should be a Euro 5?
Having owned a Stingray 5 before I got my Spector I would say yes.
The Spector wipes the floor with the Stingray in every aspect IMO.

That used to be mine! I'm not really a five string player so traded it for a Euro 4. Still, the finest fiver I've ever played. Incredible B string.

It belonged to you as well? This bass is turning out to have been a bit of a slut on the quiet..... :D
It's the best 5er I've ever played too; the B string really is great - really clear & focussed & perfectly balanced with the other strings.

I haven't touched my 4 string Zons since I got it, which I really wasn't expecting to happen.
