gonzoromirez
Hi, I'm looking for a cab to go with my Ampeg SVT head. So though i'd see what people recommend before taking the plunge I'm looking at an Ampeg B-410 HLF (4 x 10), but i notice some people have found these a bit too boomy sounding I fancy a 4 x 10 coz it'll slip in the boot and is less fuss, would need to be rated 4 ohm though, but I would consider a 1 x 15 and 2 x 10 setup (i dont really want anything bigger coz it's gonna be a gigging rig) I was considering forking out for the Ampeg coz it would be nice to have matching gear, but ideally it would be nice to spend no more than £350, new or used interested to know your thoughts guys, cheers
casapete
Look for the SVT 410 HLF - s/h USA model. Not light, but great sounding 4 ohm cab. Handles/castors/tilt back design etc. Reckon you should be able to track one down within your budget, and will match up with your SVT well. Anders
...Or the Ampeg heritage 410hlf. I don't know what it sounds like but seems to have the same specs. as the regular svt410hlf exept it weighs about 35kg and probarbly has a hell of a secondhandvalue. I know some German stores have them, www.thomann.de for one.
