It's the standard Mad Beans Slow Lorris, so it's essentially a Rat (LM308) with the Ruetz mod (a frequency clipping sweep) and diode selection (diodes/none/leds).
Should be cool, looking forward to the Egghead (Clark Gainster) and the Green Russian Muff kit to :)

The RAT with no clipping diodes is a beast, especially coupled with a few other mods :)

Hi guys
Without boring you with my life story I'm looking to make my first pedal, i want to make a true bypass looper (It will be built into my pedal board)
I want two effects loops & have the ability to choose which loop I want to use on the hop.

obviously I want them with a stomp switch, Now I'm getting very confused with the terminology on this site (I did a google search all by myself :) ) can someone please offer advice as to which one I want please ?
http://www.beavisaud...tcher/index.htm

Now I think I just need to follow these schematics on the last one at the bottom called the "Effects order switcher" but replace the 4PDT switch with a 4PDT foot switch. which i think the simple way to go but what I would like to know is can you have a switch for each loop that you can just turn on & off like the pick below. So is it possible to modify the schematic & if so how ?

that would be two of the True Bypass Loopers - No LED, DPDT Switch, under the True Bypass Loopers section (image shown below).

to put two of these in one case, you have to basically make two of them up, but instead of the 1/4" Mono Jack ports in the middle, you would run the wire from where the TIP would be on the OUT from one "half" to where the TIP would go from the IN on the other, and the same for the SLV (sleeve).

I hope that made sense. =]

EDIT: i crudely paint'ed up what i meant, please ignore the poor paint skills... im a musician not a graphic designer >.>

ha haaa !
light goes on.
I was struggling when you explained it at first lol

cheers mate This will be built into my pedal board so only need the case for the jack plugs & the switches will be up on the top surface of the pedal board itself.

cheers again mate

Ok noob question:
what type of wire do i use ? just been googling and all sorts of answers are coming up I've found #24 prebonded wire is better but that makes no sense to what I'm looking at to order

Also where I join up the black wire (between the two Send & return jacks) what its the best way ? solder or insert some kind of junction connector, i want to do this right & have no worries about it being a bit crap.......crapness comes from my playing not the kit i have lol

Hi Protium cheers for this. How come it still works without the black wires ?
That pic is exactly what I'm planning but with the stomp switches sticking out of the top of my board

Also one last question: I need 0.5mm stranded cable for this ?

If you're using a metal case, that provides all the ground connections. If you're using a non-conductor you'll need all the black wires.
I normally use the 7/0.2mm stranded wire from Bitsbox: http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/cable/cable.html

Boxed up another little project :)
This is a custom painted enclosure by our very own Shep (Pantherairsoft).
The circuit is a Fuzzrocious 'Broke Dick Peanut Gallery', or BDPG for short, a high-gain preamp, an awesome sounding overdrive!

Next to be boxed up are a GGG Green Russian Muff with AMZ mids control mod, a Mad Beans Rat clone and a Mad Beans Gainster clone.
Also working on a AMZ clean boost, and a Zvex Super Hard-On clone.

New pedal just about finished - Green Big Muff

I sourced some NOS Russian transistors for this (same as those used in the original pedals) to give it that authentic vibe... Sounds awesome on bass :)

I built this overdrive pedal a while back. Whilst the actual drive is quite nice the loss of low end isn't.
Is there anything I can change to give is a bit more bass? ta

Or how to add a blend into it...

Increasing C2 is the best place to start for more low end. For the simplest blend I'd use the Buff'n'Blend. Take out the 2M2 pulldown resistor from the input of the Zen if you do this though, and attach the output of the Zen straight to lug 3 on the blend pot (no need for the trimpot). Bob's your uncle and all that good stuff!

Yeah, it's a hammond box, few coats of white primer, smoothed and finished in car touch-up spray paint. I'll get some clips at some point :)

Was about to say this, I'd recommend the blend route though as changing c2 is going to change the sound of the drive quite drastically!

I don't mind messing around with stuff. I was thinking of putting in a switch and keeping the original capacitor as an option. Maybe a 3 position switch. Plus a blend, maybe with bypass so you switch off the dry signal with a foot switch...

Hey all in D.I.Y land!

Here's a 'have you tried' type post! - You may have seen my posts about being interested in a compressor pedal with a dry blend. On having abit of a search round google, I see that B.Y.O.C have a design for a '5 knob compressor'. It's 'ratio' control actually sets the level of wet and dry mix - something that immediately interested me.

Has anyone built one or owns one who would be willing to do a quicky review? - I like the idea of this pedal as it would allow (to some extent) further modding to perfection.

In my utter laziness, I may even scout out for someone to build one for me with some sexy graphics on the outside!

Finished a Colorsound Bass Fuzz pedal last week - I put a buffered blend in it too, just to give it a little bit more flexibility:

https://soundcloud.com/paul_510/sets/coloursound-bass-fuzz-clone

These samples were recorded straight into ProTools - no cab simulators or compression etc... Just raw, dirty bass. :)
