Ashdown BTA 400 Stack

I tried the new Ashdown BTA400 head and matching 8 x 10" cab today - one of only four available in the UK as yet.

Big, fat, and bone-crunching. I connected another Ashdown 8 x 10" to the set-up. My ears have only just stopped bleeding.

I tried the rig as well today,and it really is a great amp. It has a crazy amount
of volume through the two 8x10 cabs,and the tone was really fat.
It's Bloody heavy though.

It looks like Ashdown have finally got their act together. It's definitely their
best amp yet.

This is the BTA and not the Big Block 427 yeah? These have the pre-amp stage from the ABMs I think. Where did you try it out?

I would love to give one a go and have had thoughts around the 300 or maybe even the 200. I doubt either would ever get wired up to a 8x10 though, let alone two of 'em!

nice can't think of many other production 400watt valve amps at the minute!
