cLepto-bass
Can anyone point me in the direction of the smallest 8ohm, 300w cab you can think of. I looked through the 'lightwieght cabs' thread but I'm talking really small. I know of a Genz-Benz 8" cab but only at 100w rating. Consider that this is regardless of music style and volume as its just for bedroom playing along with my LMII. Any ideas?

Does anyone have any experience with these, first hand would be good but any recylced information on this cab would be appreciated too. GremlinAndy
maybe this? Schroeder Mini 10+ I use Shroeder and couldn't be happier. (They can be bought in the UK too) It may be a bit pricey depending what you want to use it for, but it would always have a decent resale value... The Burpster
Get an old defunct or blown 1x10 cab and stick a Celestion speker in it - they do 300w 4 or 8ohm models. I have a 200w 8 ohm in my pimped Roland bass cube box and it rocks!

For less than the price of either one of those Roland Combos with 4x5" drivers. Why on earth do you need a 300W cab for bedroom playing? 100W is plenty, just back the gain off! GremlinAndy
Thanks for all the opinions people, I'm currently looking into details and pricing of the Schroeder Mini 10+. Does anybody ue them?
There are loads of threads containing info on Schroeders mate. Just so you understand JUST how light the Schroeders are, I left mine on the floor outside a gig and a gust of backwash from a passing toddler on a trike sent it up into the stratosphere. ...Well OK that's an exaggeration, but the real truth is that while my old wardrobe sized 2x15 used to nearly bust my hump to move, even with it's castors, but my 2x tiny Schro' 1515L's can be lifted to shoulder level, one in each hand with my arms outstretched. that's 4 (YES FOUR) 15's in a weightlifting *fly* type movement! (fact) On the other hand, you should research the sound they give because they aren't exactly transparent. I can't say too much about the mini cabs, because I haven't heard them, but I think the smaller they are the more apparent the colouration.
