rasher80
Anybody know of one? Not for me, i hasten to add. Main stipulation was that it was passive, and "none more black" but expressly not anything BC Rich like! Cheers!
NJE
Hello, Not a stock passive but a Squier Deluxe Active Jazz V comes in all black pretty much, great five string and extremely well built. you can get them very cheap and It would take a very minor amount of work to make it passive and you may still have change left from £250. I was going to convert mine to passive but elected to have a passive switch fitted to the electronics. Cant rave about mine enough and use it probably slightly more than my Overwater sadly. rasher80
Think he's looking at a Dean Edge 5 or something? They look ok and i've seen some good reviews, anybody played one?
valere24
+1 - tried one in a shop on saturday. Quality finish, plays well. Decent B string. I would happily gig with it. It just sounded a bit cold to me if you compare it to more expensive and/or vintage instruments, but apart from that it's a good instrument. Bassman68
Might be able to get a Warwick Rockbass 'Nighthawk' streamer for that sort of money....
rasher80
He can't get a Dean Edge anywhere and is getting pretty desperate - he needs it by the end of the month Any other ideas people? i've pitched the idea of converting an active to him and he's mulling it over
