Had been hoping for a deal on a Zoom H4. Jon.
BigRedX
Looked like a brilliant toy - did you take one home? Jon.
Absolutely! 10 minutes of the demo on the Yamaha stand and I was sold. Spent most of Sunday playing with it and took it to work today were it was a massive hit. It's no toy but a serious 16 channel polyphonic matrix (and more) sequencer with 253 built-in sounds and 3 user memories for loading your own samples on to. You need an SD memory card to get the best out of it - to load and save your compositions and sounds otherwise everything is lost when you turn it off. I was creating instant Underworld/LCD Soundsystem type tunes out of it within 10 minutes of switching it on. By this time next week I'll probably have a couple of songs based around it. Maximum fun! jimbartlett
My mate got a Marshall Ltd Edition JCM 2000 DSL 100 4*12 stack for £900, the other bought a Takamine G-series electro-acoustic in black for £319. I bought a Dean Z Tour Bass with a gig bag for £400. The EQ is really great and the birds on the Dean stand were unbelievable! The photo below is of me doing a silly pose with my new axe (sorry about the fingerprints!).....

I didn't think I was going to like it but I thought it was really great. The neck was cool and it sounded really good. The only thing that I didn't like too much was the weight of it. Really good Bass for the money though!

Superb bass, very pricey at £2500 but I feel could be worth it.
BigRedX
The reactable video is pretty cool until you have a look at how complex the technology that drives it is. I'll stick with my TENORI-ON its 200mm square by 35mm thick and completely self-contained.
bassboy115
got G.A.S for: Trace Stack, Rickenbacker 4003, Ernie ball stingray, I tried a ripper...Tbh i really didnt like it, i know it was through those terrible headphones but it seemd to lack any balls and i hated how big the body was...however id give it a go through a proper amp! I tried a spector too just because warwick wasnt there and that was nice! I also tried a yamaha bbwhatever the passive one... TBH i thought it was awsome, was probably one of the nicest basses i tried all day!

Its been for sale for a few weeks on the forum, but I've had absolutely no interest in her. I lent her to Mark from BassDirect to use on his stand at the show, and try to sell if possible. Still waiting to hear if he had any nibbles! She is a beauty, far too good for me to use in my covers band, where things get damaged quite frequently. Cheers, Bob
Hi Bob I was on the Bass Direct stand on Sunday. A few people had a go on your Skjold 92. It seemed to go down well. Didn't detect any firm buying signs thogh .. Mark may have a different story That was a regular reaction "oh I coudln't play a bass that costs this much in the pubs I play" .
