We knew the owner at the time and that's when he asked if we fancied helping load in with some of the bands. It was usually the more well known bands that had a lot of gear. If i remember right Iron Maiden turned up with one of Elton Johns trucks that still had some of his stage rigs in flightcases with his name on it. One of the lighting rigs in a long flightcase lost its braking on the hill at the rear and was heading for the main roundabout traffic but we managed to stop it in time. It was an articulated truck they had. That was the largest vehicle we helped from but some great memories. There is a FB page for The Heathery that i am an Admin on. Some great pics on it.

Cool Lozz, for me it would be Milwaukee's Shank Hall ( it's not a hall it's a club )..I finally got to play there twice opening for signed headliners.

Saw Norman Watt-Roy  with JOB at the 100 Club last year. Felt like a time capsule.

Managed to get to see NWR with Dylan Howe and Wilko Johnson at Yardbirds in Grimsby quite a few years ago now. He was absolutely on it the whole gig - tight as anything all of them.....🤘🤘Happy days......

They were one of the opening acts at the Dereham Blues Festival last year. I was really looking forward to seeing and hearing NWR but the acoustics were a bit odd where we were on the balcony. He was so far back in the mix that I couldn’t hear him clearly a lot of the time. I was really disappointed.

The Yardbirds gig I saw him at with Wilko was on a 2 foot high stage, and he was literally within touching distance - mesmerising the whole night! 🤘

NWR is one of those bassists you just want to go see. His technique and style is phenomenal and i'm not even a big fan of that syle of music but i do like hearing his basslines.

Hit Me was just a classic bassline.

Can we please get back to discussing how people's gigs where they were playing at went?  This thread has gone a bit off the rails recently with discussions about upcoming gigs (there's a different thread for that) and other extraneous stuff about gigs people have attended.
