tom1946 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Bought from Artisan about 6 weeks ago and as then, it is still in pristine unmarked condition. I really thought that having short arms, this would be ideal but I can't get used to it having played Fenders so it'll need a new home. (Few words stolen from the original advert) finished in "Heritage Cherry" high gloss, trapezoid position markers, pearloid crown inlay & Gibson logo. it's a short scale bass with a 30.5 inch scale. it sounds awesome for blues, jazz, country, classic rock or most styles-just not funk. condition wise it is as new i.e. mint still with the original strings fitted (which are fine btw),infact it smells of the nitro cellulose laquer that Gibson painted it in. I'm looking for £620 ovno + carriage free. Edited March 9, 2010 by tom1946
Bassman Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Hello, what a piece of beauty ! Is it possible to have a picture from the head of the bass please? Thanks
Oggy Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010
Front and back duly added....
Aggggggggggggggg , I forked out £900 for one two weeks ago - Awesome sounding bass, despite the wee bit of neck dive, I love mine to bits. I never could figure out why short scale basses are 'frowned' upon by the majority of Bass players . Blues players: This is the one . Oggy
Low End Bee Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 That's a very attractive bass. Will you take one of my children in part ex?
tom1946 Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 I've just got rid of all my girls and I've done my bit for the population growth..
spinynorman Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Lovely bass. There should be a law against making them in other colours.

On a lighter note. Chris 'chrkelly' gave me a tip a few days ago on stringing mine with 'La Bella deep talkin flats (45-105)', Chris said they would get "really nice a few months down the road" - News Flash:- They're really nice sounding now and I've only had them on two days, thanks Chris. Great Bass, Great Price type bump. Oggy (wasn't me)
tom1946 Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Thanks Oggy, I did decide to sell 2 weeks ago, lazy sod me
